COVID-19 OPERATING PROCEDURES
The COVID pandemic is now entering its third year, and like all our members, guests and patrons, we are experiencing the same frustrations and inconveniences that it has and is causing. With yet another wave of COVID variants spreading rapidly, and even though the government restrictions have been removed, there is yet a requirement to address the foreseen stress on the health systems and to respond to the increased transmissibility of the current variant which is causing widespread reductions to the workforce. The following paragraphs will adhere to the current downgrade of regulations and restrictions but will also be subject to rapid alterations as the situation is dynamic and any government responses will be similar.
- COVID-19 Symptoms: Anyone exhibiting or suspecting any of the COVID-19 symptoms of fever, dry cough, runny nose, or sore throat within the previous five (5) days is requested to voluntarily refrain from attendance at the golf course and respond as per published regulations.
- Travel or Domestic Arrangements: If you can answer “yes” to any of the following questions, you are requested to voluntarily refrain from attending the golf course and to respond as per government regulations.
- Have you tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 5 days?
- Are you living with or have been in contact with anyone on isolation notice?
- Have you been isolated within the last 10 days?
- Are you living with anyone who has or has had the COVID-19 virus within the last 10 days?
- Physical Social Distancing: At this current time, there are no requirements for social distancing, however we do recommend continuing to practice social distancing.
- Wearing of Face Masks: Face mask restrictions are now lifted and masks will not be required to enter any buildings on the golf course property.
- Sanitizing Stations: Sanitizing stations will remain up and charged in all buildings at the club. We encourage all staff, members and patrons of the club to continue to use these sanitizers.
- Payment Procedures: Cash payments will always be accepted. However, members are encouraged to conduct transactions via credit card or on account. Members are to ensure that they always carry their membership cards with them while on the course.
- Driving Range/Chipping/Putting Greens: There will be no restriction to the maximum number of patrons using the range facilities, i.e., driving range, chipping green and practice green at any one time, but social distancing will still be encouraged.
- Pro Shop:
- Tee times will be at 7 & 8 minute intervals and after the first two hours of the day we will then move to 10 minute tee times.
- Rental clubs will be available. Please note all rentals are sanitized before and after each use.
- Power and pull carts are available for rental.
- There will be no restrictions on the composition of your group.
- There will not be any relaxation of cart sanitization procedures and Cardiff Golf and Country Club will continue to practice disinfecting procedures stricter than those regulated by provincial authorities.
- Club storage will not be available.
- Clubhouse:
- At present, clubhouse is open with no restrictions imposed by government authorities.
- Toilet facilities may be accessed from any entrance.
- Locker rooms are currently unavailable.
- Food and Beverage/Restaurant:
- The restaurant is open with no current COVID-19 restrictions in place.
- Liquor service will end at various times depending on time of season. For more information on last call and for closing times, please check our hours of operation on our website.
- Take out and walk-up services are allowed in-person or by telephone pre-order.
- Beverage carts are available on the course and will remain in operation and frequency increased as we move forward.
- Ordering will be done while maintaining physical distancing after which the server will place the order on the side of the cart with a debit/credit machine if required. The server will advise when the patrons can pick up and pay for their orders after preparation. Cart and debit/credit machine will be sanitized following each operation. Spending accounts can be utilized, and cash payments are discouraged until closing the tab.
- Golf Course Operations:
- Cabanas on holes #12 and #3 will be open on the course. Cabanas on holes #7 and # 13 will remain closed.
- Water coolers will be available on the course.
- Rakes will be available for the 2022 golf season.
- Post-Golf Procedures
- On completion of round, return carts to designated return area and clean out all personal belongings and trash.
- Place trash/recycle in the appropriate receptacles
- Enjoy the patio or in-house dining experience or Pro Shop retail offerings post-round.
